Bug-by-bug detail ============= Accepted blockers ----------------- 1. dnf — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1768206 — NEW DNF prompts for GPG key import for "repo_gpgcheck=1"-repositories despite "rpm --import"-ing the keys first DNF has a separate database of GPG keys, which leads to unexpected prompts now that the fedora-cisco-openh264 repo is enabled by default. This is a UX regression in the complete distro, not in DNF, but that may be the place we fix it long-term. 2. firefox — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1816547 — NEW Firefox not using langpacks for localization Beginning in Firefox 74, Firefox does not respect the LANG environment variable. 3. gnome-shell — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1813515 — MODIFIED gnome-shell: cogl_matrix_stack_pop(): gnome-shell killed by SIGSEGV Out-of-the-box installs crash when the application drawer is opened while I/O operations are performed. This may be fixed in gnome-shell-3.36.1-2.fc32 (Koji build 42872652). 4. plasma-user-manager — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1815463 — NEW Cannot create another user account through KDE System Settings if 'Real Name' field is not filled in Previous proposed fix does not resolve the issue. This appears to only be an issue if the "Real Name" field is not set. Proposed blockers ----------------- 1. kernel — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1816621 — ON_QA Second suspend does not work On some Lenovo Thinkpad models, suspending the first time after boot works, but subsequent attempts do not. Update FEDORA-2020-4ef0bcc89c has a proposed fix, which may be short-term. We are working with Intel via Lenovo to fix this in firmware for long-term. 2. mutter — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1814015 — NEW System freeze.locksup when using wayland on P53 With NVIDIA GPUs with the nouveau driver, GNOME on Wayland freezes after ~15 minutes. It's not clear if this behavior also exists on X11. A nouveau build that may fix the issue is available in COPR: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/karolherbst/Nouveau_Testing/build/1326194/ 3. plasma-desktop — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1817708 — NEW The desktop session will not start This appears to only affect OpenQA tests. Manual tests on both bare metal and VMs in the latest compose worked. kglobalaccel5 crashes when the user logs in and the sddm screen never comes back when the user attempts to log out. 4. sddm — https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1819749 — MODIFIED KDE login screen cannot handle expired passwords This is an unimplemented feature in sddm (https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/716). It does not appear to violate release criteria in a default setup. -- Ben Cotton He / Him / His Senior Program Manager, Fedora & CentOS Stream Red Hat TZ=America/Indiana/Indianapolis _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
