Who cares whether the media check works? If it fails, but the distro still
installs, that is not a blocker.

You might not want to speak with such certainty about things you're not completely familiar with:

If you wanted to say "that should not be a blocker", you're welcome to propose that change and we'll discuss it, but please do it in a separate thread.
