Yes I did. There was no soname bump and the abidiff warnings looked like
false positives. There was also no announcement on the devel list or
rebuilds of the dependent packages in rawhide for yaml-cpp 0.6.3, so I
assumed pulling the update into old releases was safe.
That was my fault, I sent it, but accidentally to the RPM Fusion developer list instead of this one.
I have a patch that reverts the removal of the symbol, as explained here:

However, blender still fails to start, even with the patch. I haven't
had the time to dig deeper. I may find time tomorrow.
Note that F30 is not affected, I unpushed the update.
Ok, I just filed a issue with github upstream and added it to the BZ bug.
