At my work, most of the windows laptops have full disk encryption so I asked a coworker for some info. She started her laptop on battery and let it sit at the encryption password prompt for about 30 minutes and nothing happened. She also told me that she has seen other laptops at the office that were probably auto rebooted on Friday and were still waiting at the prompt on Monday.
