Yes. It was disabled because of this thread ...
.. but I doubt it is needed; can anyone explain how we can afford to have
those modules enabled by default in fedora-repos.rpm (fedora users) but we
can not in mock?

I'd warn against such differences. Wouldn't it make the understanding of
the whole Fedora build system even worse, and doesn't it lead to
ultimately broken design of _pre-compiled_ distro?
