My understanding is that the Fedora project does not control how much network logging Red Hat does on its behalf, so rotating the UUID might well not bring back the old anonymity. My concern here is that the UUID would allow implementation of a service that gives the current IP address for a system, based on a past timestamp and observed IP address.
