The packages that are being removed right now are leaves, meaning that python2-futures wouldn't be on the removal list for now.

At some point though all the dependents will have either been removed or requiring python3 only.

Only sagemath worries me in this list since AFAIK there is still some way to go, for full python3 support upstream.
