As I said previously (part which you quoted), I have fixed more than 2500
packages. I am pretty sure that the rest can be handled by maintainers.

IMHO, no.

You pushed out a change which obviously was insufficiently tested, though you told us you tested it, IIRC. Now you are forcing us to wipe up and clean up?

That said, the 2500 packages you are referring to might impress some readers, but it doesn't impress me, because it's obvious you missed huge classes of cases in your "testing".

IMHO, it is time to revert this Change.
ACK. This change was rushed out in an overly haste with insufficent testing.
