IMHO, it is unacceptable that you make a change breaking thousands of
packages and expect us to spend our time on fixing them or getting you to
fix them (and, as Hans pointed out, the latter likely takes MORE time
because of the communication overhead).

As I said previously (part which you quoted), I have fixed more than 2500 packages. I am pretty sure that the rest can be handled by maintainers.

IMHO, it is time to revert this Change.
