Still, I'm not likely to vote in favor, myself. If you're not satisifed with adding a new action to the desktop file, I would subpackage it so that testers can install a new subpackage to get the experimental desktop file. That way it should be easy for testers to opt-in, without making the rest of our users guinea pigs.
