We're supposed to work together on this, not by putting work on each's other plate without worrying about the consequences. So if you put work on my plate I would at least like that: a) you know about it b) you let me know, possibly in advance so I can plan for this work This suggestions to the guideline definitely will make a) true, b) is of course up to you but since there is a), not doing b) will be entirely on you instead of slipping in un-noticed, giving you the excuse that "you did not know".
