This is one of the reasons we have not pulled in those patches just yet. Retpolines give us most of the mitigation required and shouldn't cause issues with the microcode we are shipping. I know that Intel is working on updates to the microcode and Fedora will pick those up when they are available. Once those are in place, we can look at enabling IBRS for additional mitigation where required.
