I am sad to hear that people are having issues when using Wayland (and even
the X.org session). Be aware though that we have devs dedicated at RH to
look at Fedora Wayland bugs, so if you file bugs we will try our best to
look at them and figure out what is happening. It obviously works well for
many of us, including the devs themselves, so there must be some specific
hardware and or software combinations triggering these problems. So please
file bugs against Wayland in the Fedora bugzilla and we will try our best to
take a look.

Thanks, Christian. It's good to know that people are working on these issues.

One configuration that appears to be particularly unstable is a
dual-monitor setup with nouveau. I experience frequent system hangs
with that setup, and don't seem to be alone; e.g.,
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1491565. (Note that I do
not have a HiDPI monitor, but I also don't see all of the issues the
reporter of that bug noted.) I'm going to try using X sessions this
week to see if that helps at all. If not, they are probably nouveau
bugs unrelated to Wayland.

Does wayland actually support that?

I have a triple monitor setup with nouveau on one machine and that has always fallen back to X so I just assumed wayland didn't support that yet.

My machines which are using wayland, which admittedly aren't using nvidia graphics at all, seem perfectly fine with it.
