License field in spec file, spdx compliance

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,
I was trying today to prepare a single spec file for both Fedora and OpenSuse and hit a small issue on the License field.
Fedora requires license to be shortened as listed in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Licensing:Main?rd=Licensing#SoftwareLicenses
While OpenSuse requires license to be shortened as listed in https://spdx.org/licenses/

Being spdx a collaborative project within Linux foundation, I think there may be value in aligning fedora licensing short names with spdx list.
I was going to open bugzilla to track it, then decided to open the discussion here first.
Any thought?
