I know that, at least for older versions.
Therefore my question about adding an entry to ld.so.conf

Ok, should I prevent shared lib polution, or not ?
Is there a policy that comments on that issue ?
Why does it *not* make sense ?
It's perfectly leagal and makes sense in every way to me.
