I tried to fix what I could, but a few questions are left :
Shared libs are now into /usr/lib/freetds/, which is fine.
Is ldconfig aware ?
ldconfig does not search in /usr/lib/freetds, so running it makes no sense.
I know that, at least for older versions. Therefore my question about adding an entry to ld.so.conf
