I would agree with that - the only alternative I could think of is to have %post sed the console.perms file, but I don't think I personally would like an rpm that changes existing settings in there.


That would also benefit other apps that might need the devices when user not logged in at console as well, and should be just as secure if no users belong to the group if flumotion is not installed.

I personally always change my console.perms for /dev/dsp anyway so I can have cron record my favorite radio show while I'm at school - I expect others as well do this sort of thing already anyway for similar situations.
