It's not quite as simple as just importing them as-is, because they are automatically generated and need further review. They don't match the grammar recommendations and the screenshots are all funky shapes and sizes. Perhaps they are better than nothing, but in an ideal world pushing them upstream with all the fixes would be the best long term thing to do. Upstream also means translations, which matter a huge amount to a large number of people. If you're a part of the amarok project, I'm sure you could help polishing up what ximion produced and getting it upstream in a release.
