Some issues: * You didn't escape the & on line 10 (use &) * <BR/> isn't a valid tag * The updatecontact contains "<" and ">" -- this is supposed to be a bare email address * The licence is not a valid content licence for the metadata In the appdata-tools package there's a binary called appdata-validate which checks AppData files for correctness and against the style guide. You probably want to use that.
