Note, there's an upstream mailing list that people who are doing
porting work would be well-served to join:
https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-porting

This isn't just a place where people can discuss gerneal porting best
practices but also a place where we can coordinate with other distros
on porting software that is important to all of us (crypto and http
client libraries, web frameworks, etc).
