if the majority should uninstall something because they can't
use it it must not be active in a default setup

and *there* you do *not* need prelink because the theoretical gain
in faster startup does *not matter*

so, and now come on and list some *real* benefits, stop to point
with your fingers how many people should fix these and and that
to work better with prelink, take the wasted time into account
if you consider the prelink-benefits and if you can't find
*really* good arguments stop to defeat prelink in the default
install and agree that it has to be removed from it

only the time wasted multiple times a year with discussions and
fixing this and that to work with prelink makes it's benefits
for gain 200 ms here and there non existent
