The problem (again IMHO) with "info" is that it works for emacs users (or at least that's what I guess, I never can figure it out), while "pinfo" operates more like a console web browser (such as "lynx"). However, you can't remove "info", because it provides /sbin/install-info (which is required by every package that provides info files).
