In other words, I can cope with the number of crashes upgrades typically come along with, but the number "UI-changes" is what makes Fedora difficult to use for me.

I have heard that from users as well with regards to Gnome both 2.x and 3.x as in they have just learned where things are when they are either replaced or removed which forces the user base having to re-learn everything again.
