I do not wish to make the proposed changes, nor would I be happy if someone made them for me, because I do not want to have unnecessary divergences between the spec files for different Fedora branches. That not only creates issues for cherry-picking updates, but it means that I can't for example test-build a rawhide SRPM on my F16 work machine. If the incompatibility is *necessary* then I'll put up with it, but as far as I can see this is only cosmetic at this point. I'd like to see these macros back-ported into F17 and F16 RPM to remove this objection.
