Somehow it's possible to update rpm but not yum and break Rawhide, using just 'yum' commands, not rpm directly and no forced installs. Anyway my machine now says: $ sudo yum install yum error: db5 error(-30969) from dbenv->open: BDB0091 DB_VERSION_MISMATCH: Database environment version mismatch error: cannot open Packages index using db5 - (-30969) error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm CRITICAL:yum.main: Error: rpmdb open failed 'rpm -qa' is fine. I hope I'll be able to rpm -U the appropriate yum or rpmlib or whatever to fix this, but be warned ...
