People killing git histories in various ways, ... not worth mentioning,
I'd yet have to see one single VCS conversion which did not loose history.
and is not cause for different usage (other than backup strategy etc),
and furthermore is not specific to RPM changelog data in any way.
... an inlined $changelog is much less likely to get corrupted.
