The point is that it can't here. You'd just get a different error message if it didn't try using the multilib version that way. Rawhide will always have broken dependencies. Releases and branched prerelease trees may soon get their dependencies enforced by Bodhi through AutoQA, but due to how Rawhide works, that's not possible in Rawhide.
