Hey, my arguments are not the 2 "anti" arguments he quotes. ;-)

I have nothing against you personally. I have something against pointless 
changes to the standard file system we've been using for decades (and which 
is still working fine), causing pointless trouble when upgrading.

As for "There are precedents in Solaris and Fedora.", the latter is what 
this thread is aiming at preventing. :-p
