Why not the contrary? Right now, the tags and targets for Fedora releases in Koji are fXX-candidate, which correspond both to the branch in dist-git, and to the rpm dist tag. As such, wouldn't it be even clearer if the tags and targets for EPEL in Koji became elX-candidate?
