There is some benefit in making it possible for distribution packagers to be aware of the these sorts of unit file writing pitfall conversations. I'm not saying the discussion needs to be here. But cherry-picking some salient to make us aware of, once and awhile, with some good meaty examples of sysv styled pitfalls wouldn't hurt. In fact it could be quite instructive for many of us. I think a lot of us firmly entrenched at the distribution level have a lot of shell scripting unlearning to do in how we approach service init. As hard as learning is, unlearning is that much harder. it can be difficult to pick these conversations out of the chatter here or on the systemd list (cant keep up with every conversation). That being said you might consider organizing a compendium of such pitfalls and adding it to your growing amount of tutorial documentation for a handy reference if you haven't already begun doing that already (and you may have and I've missed it). -jef -- devel mailing list devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devel
