For some reason, this doesn't work for me. I have set it to remind me
every 5 minutes, but no message is being displayed. Still, i would like
it to keep the old functionality. That is, always display the status in
a place where it's noticeable (eg. top middle of the screen). 

Oh well. Maybe the author will find some time and adapt it for
gnome-shell in a better way.
