It's not a good path to take. When you have multiple binary rpms built from a single source rpm, anytime there's a change to any of the included sources all of the binary rpms end up being updated. This is not desirable for end users. Yes, maintaining separate source and binary packages is more work for the packager but it is nicer for the end user. -Toshio
