All I can find is the names of the three past editors of the standard, and a mailing list that seems to be overrun by spam. There doesn't seem to be any body/group that meets regularly to resolve issues and work towards an FHS update. Maybe it is time to set up such a group, e.g., by letting each distro put one representative forward that will discuss and vote on FHS changes on that distro's behalf. I think the group that Lennart worked with is a very encouraging sign that something like this is possible.
