Dave,

Fedora Core is not as open as Red Hat made it out to be.  They still want 
control over the distro so that they can maintain legacy Red Hat.  Now, if 
you if your scripting language can magically patch in half the current time 
it takes now to maintain legacy crap,  I'm sure it would get included.  Red 
Hat is still thinking backards.
