I hope it is smarter than it was in the past.

Lets say you have
update1: foo-1.0-1 and bar-1.1-2
You add
update2: foo-1.0-2

update1 is obsolete .... which means bar-1.1-2 is "lost" ... i.e it
should obsolete by package _not_ by update.
