It is likely to be voted down. I'm not going to vote for an exception if you can't prove that it's truly necessary, and in past precedents, most folks on FESCo felt even stronger about this issue than me. And "upstream does it that way" is NOT a valid reason, you're supposed to patch the code to use the system libraries, it's part of being a maintainer.
