Sure, there is, but no need to panic ... sky is not falling yet (and there are many reasons to believe it never will). Note for example, that default installation of Fedora 12 probably won't require Mono at all (Tomboy was replaced by Gnotes, although the main reason was savings of many megabytes instead of legal concerns).
