Not really.

The dependency in any case wasn't "broken", it just wasn't satisfied
by any package in Fedora 10 (although it was by packages in Fedora 11+).


Is it OK to pull RHEL 5 packages for RHEL 4?

RH 9 packages for RHEL 5?

Sure, you can do this on your own time, but making an official package in the public repository depend on this action? Nuts. Come on Richard, you should know better.
