Well, it had worked for ages.

Sharing files across different packages is always a packaging bug.
You are simply plain wrong.

The only
legitimate use is multiple CPU architectures of the same package with the
same EVR. All the other shared files are bugs and it's good that they're
getting caught.

Wrong again.
