gstreamer has nothing to do with this.

% lspci | grep -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801JI (ICH10 Family) HD Audio Controller


You would have to grab the dmesg output for your particular audio chip. "Intel HD Audio" can mean any number of chips. Think AC'97.
