People who had foo-calendar will suddenly have bsd-calendar instead. Hopefully we'd end up with different names down to the filesystem level. If neither upstream was willing to rename, we'd want to take it to the other distros (distributions-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) and try to work out a renaming scheme that all of us could follow. Whatever package got the rename there would have to change its name. We'd have to take care of both the package name and any conflicting filesystem paths. -Toshio
