Forgot to add something: This would be --host, not --build
If these packages are using --build to pick up optimizations, they would
be optimizing for the buildsystem, not for the host.
Would you mind to list them?
Correct is, there are packages who are silly enough not to respect the
CFLAGS the system integrator passes to it.
