FWIW, it broke the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336 drivers too. Something about SVIPC? Shared Memory?

My box is dual processor i686, so athlon and smp are different?
(Did you revert kernels for some other reason? I note your uname shows 1.97, which worked OK for me too.)
Anyway, sounds like there is a 1.106 to try soon.
