It's just 3 weeks of work by an engineer experienced in this to go to a 
newer 2.4 for FC1 due to the extreme complexity of the NPTL patch. If FC1 
is to get a newer  kernel it will be a 2.6 kernel. Which isn't going to 
happen realistically unless the Fedora Legacy project wants to be really brave.
