We've already decided that updates cannot be done safely without at least one reboot, so let's not bother with requests to remove that. We now have updates that download in the background, so time required for that isn't a problem anymore either. But we don't have them applying in the background yet. Atomic Workstation makes that possible -- then the update gets applied instantaneously on reboot -- but it might be a while before Atomic Workstation approaches the usability of normal Workstation.
