There is a preferences app, but I don't think we install it by default.
It *would* be nice to have that more obviously available, and I think
the defaults could be examined. (Enable when running on battery is the
default, I think, and while I see some sense in that for people who
mostly operate on battery and charge when not using the computer, it's
also a potential source of a lot of drain.)
