I wonder if they reached a consensus? >From what I learned, I tend to think Pidgin might be the currently best choice for default IM in Workstation. It is better to offer our (new) users a working IM with some development than integrating a dead project IMO. Tox or GNOME Chat might be the future, but does not seem mature for like F23.
