I think almost all of the "hackery" in the desktop kickstart falls into three categories: * Removing certain packages (e.g. fonts) to save space on the live CD. Probably no longer of interest to Workstation, since Workstation will have a bigger package set (like Qt). * Removing command line tools of interest only to developers and power users. Probably also no longer relevant for Workstation, and certainly not if gedit-code-assistance is installed. (Arguably, these removals should have taken place in comps instead.) * Removing packages that should have been removed in comps instead, such as GNOME programs that we don't want by default (these should become a new group in comps, perhaps gnome-extra) or programs that no longer belong anywhere (system-config-printer, ibus configuration panels, etc.)
