Thanks. > Ok, so Matthias clued me in off-list about a hidden feature in 3.11.90's gsettings: gsettings set org.gnome.shell disable-extension-version-validation true This enabled nearly all of my extensions[1] to work properly, with one exception: the Window List extension (part of GNOME Classic) doesn't work at all. Filed https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=724813 Also, the overview search in gnome-shell 3.11.90 doesn't accept the 'enter' key, so I am forced to use the mouse to start applications. Filed https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=724815 I almost forgot: when I rebooted after upgrading (via PackageKit's offline-trigger method), I was greeted by a blank screen instead of GDM. I was able to get to a virtual terminal and run 'systemctl restart gdm', after which things worked fine. I haven't yet rebooted to see if this will be a continuing source of pain.
