It is not because it is a Desktop tools that we should prevent people from sharing files between their machines. The desktop spin should not limit itself to type document in a word processing software and to listen to music. We should be able to handle some basic networks as well, because poeple want to manage their files and their hardwares (printers...), to share them among a personal network. If samba-common is included, then nfs-utils should for the same reasons.
